“We must never underestimate the power of prayer as the foundation to our humble work."
DONOVAN PRICE | FOUNDER
Donovan E. Price, Executive Dir. of Pray Chicago-Youth Edition experienced first hand the epidemic of violence that is currently plaguing the City of Chicago. While in the midst of being a first responder to some of these crisis situations, he began to take note of both the pre-existing, and ongoing needs of some of the victims of violence, and their families. Whether it was trauma/crisis imposed, economically imposed, or sociologically imposed, these need became more and more evident, and even more pertinent, to the futures of these individuals and families.
From the crime scene, to the day to day rebuilding process, we are there every step of the way. If it takes a week or a year. We aim to provide multi-level, and multi-faceted, solutions and resources to communities, and individuals in need or crisis.
The goal of Solutions and Resources is to provide a holistic pathway to the healing of the surviving victims of violence in Chicago. This being accomplished in a number of ways, including, but not limited to...

3- PRAYER, AND DIRECTION WITH REGARDS TO RESOURCES SUCH FOR, TRAUMA CARE/COUNSELING, AND SUPPORT GROUPS FOR HOUSEHOLD.
4 - PRAYER, DIRECTION AND GUIDANCE REGARDING FAITH BASED, AND SOCIAL SERVICE ORIENTED, LONG-TERM SOLUTIONS AND RESOURCES
Love in ACtion
We take every opportunity to pray with and for police and first responders before, during and after their daily duties.
So thankful for their service!
By partnering with donors, volunteers and Home Depot, we were able to provide and install a brand new window for this family. By God's truly amazing grace, we were able to complete the project before the victim arrived home from the hospital after the shooting.
No one wants to see a daily reminder of not feeling safe at home.
We offer ongoing Faith-Based First Responder/Victims Advocate Workshops to the community. This helps to equip others to respond in ways that truly make a difference and speak life, love and hope into their neighborhoods.
