WITHIN THE NEXT 6 YEARS ONE OF THEM LOST 80% OF HER ENTIRE HOUSEHOLD TO FATAL GUN VIOLENCE.

Immediate Crisis Response

SnR/Street Pastors-Chicago’s outreach team, generally arrives at a scene approximately 20 minutes after shots fired to provide immediate crisis.trauma intervention, as well as, the immediate emotional and practical needs of the family. We act as a liaison between law enforcement and the immediate family, assist in accessing crime scene clean up, arrange for emergency child related services, also subsequent accompaniment to the Medical Examiner’s Office for Victim Body Identification.

Criminal Justice Advocacy

Solutions and Resources provides comprehensive support throughout the investigative process, as well as, through the criminal justice process once an alleged offender is arrested, and charged. This may include, but is not limited to court accompaniment and interpretation, interactive safety assessment and planning when necessary, and protection of crime victim rights.

Holistic Trauma Related Healing Programs & Events

Solutions and Resources offers a myriad of programs, and (on-going, one-time) events specifically designed to aid in the emotional, psychological, and/or spiritual growth and/or healing of those individuals, groups, and organizations seeking to participate.

Counseling, Triage & Referral

Solutions and Resources offer counseling resources for those who are suffering from PTSD or other trauma related issues or maybe you just need someone to talk to. SnR, and its amazing pool of resources offer immediate help in crisis intervention services, short-term therapy, and long-term therapy. Our counseling is available to families, adults, youth groups, etc. This program also educates youth on preventing them from being victims of gun violence themselves. The goal is to reach the younger generation before they are influenced by gangs or guns and to provide counseling for those that need it the most due to being exposed both directly and indirectly to violence

Social Service Resource Referral

Solutions and Resources provides social service assistance and resources for those affected by the trauma of violence. The program is for individuals, and families. SnR provides ongoing support to families who have lost a loved one or is suffering themselves with the aftermath due to gun violence. Solutions and Resources’ team work together with Social Service Resources that will help touch the lives of those needing health and welfare support. WE ARE

Some of our victim advocates are paid staff and others are volunteers. Some of our advocates are survivors who have chosen to help others who are going through their own healing process. Our victim advocates have specialized training that prepare them to assist victims. All of our victim advocates receive ongoing training surrounding individuals/families/communities and their needs.
